By Dress It Out, Aashi Adani
Hey! You might not know this, but I am a freak when it comes to hair care. I love testing and trying out all the new products or home remedies on my hair. For today’s post, I teamed up with Sand Soapaholics to review a few of their products. They have a huge range of products include natural artisan soaps, moisturizers, body creams, shampoos, conditioners etc. Inspired by traditional Indian home remedies, they use several skin-friendly ingredients available in most Indian kitchens and gardens. These ingredients are then blended with essential oils and exotic infusions to create super natural products.
So let’s start by explaining my hair type, I have super fine and straight hair, which looks great when I wash it but falls flat in a day or too. I also need some volume in my hair. For this, they recommended using 3 hair care products from their range.. I have completed using every product sent which is why I can give a super detailed review.
1)GET SPICY SHAMPOO:
This was a little new for my because I am used to liquid shampoos and this one is in a form of a bar. Nevertheless, it was very easy to use and lathered very well. It does have a very strong clove and cinnamon smell, which lingers for about 4 hours after the wash.
- Reduces hair fall.
- Does make hair feel very fresh.
- It does not weigh down my hair and gives it a full volume.
- Cleanses hair very well.
- Natural and affordable
- Very strong smell.
- Messy to use because the bar does start losing its form when you use. You need to keep a soap plate.
- Not travel friendly.
- Does not get rid of hair oil easily.
- Strips off hair colour.
2)HAIR & GLORY CONDITIONER:
This was my most loved product out of the 3 I received. It is a very fresh smelling conditioner which will moisturize your hair without weighing it down.
- Very fresh smelling.
- Perfect for thing hair which need volume.
- Travel friendly.
- Affordable and Natural.
- Leaves hair looking very shiny.
3)HAIR FORCE HAIR MASK:
I used this hair mask about 30 minutes before my wash by applying it on my roots as well as all over my hair. It would leave my hair feeling nourished and it is also supposed to prevent the hair from greying.
- Nourishes hair.
- Travel friendly.
- Natural and affordable.
- Does not damage hair. Using it often will make help better.
- Smells a little too strong. But, does not linger after wash.
- 30 minutes is a little too long to wait.
All in all, I do appreciate their initiative of making products which are very natural and super budget friendly. Also, small sizes of all the products are available so you can buy them first and see how well it works for you. You should definitely have a look at their Website (which gives a lot of information about the product ingredients and uses).
Until next time, Aashi Adani.
